Language is the biggest way of communication between human beings. In my book of “Introduction to Mass Communication” I have read that words are meaning less signs which stand for things and feelings which we relate to them, and don’t have any specific meanings in themselves. But I don’t more believe in this idea because I am sure that words have their specific meaning and they stand for their meanings. First example, take word Allah it is most known name of God all over the world. And this words not only a sign of God’s name but has many benefits in itself. Doctors all over the have said that calling this words several time a day is very beneficiary for our respiratory system, it strengthen our heart and bring piece to our mind. It shows the power of this word which this have in itself. An ordinary sign can’t act like this. And when it comes to commonly using words like nahien, naa, no and nay all these words which we use for no have too much resemblance. So how any body can say that words are meaningless signs and we human beings give them meanings. Please tell me what you think about it.Note.
